President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt announced that the country would start manufacturing plasma derivatives within two years. His announcement came during the official inauguration ceremony of the Egyptian medical city Gypto Pharma, which is located in El Khanka area in Qalioubiya governorate. The president said that the government would provide all facilitation necessary for the local production of plasma derivatives. The 180,000 square-meter city is considered among the largest pharmaceutical production hubs in the Middle East.
The ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and a number of ministers and senior statesmen took part in the inauguration ceremony. Gypto Pharma would help citizens obtain high-quality and safe pharmacological treatment, end monopolistic practices, and control the prices of medicines. In fact, this mega project supports the efforts made by the State concerning medical and health initiatives and services provided for citizens.
Gypto Pharma is equipped with the latest technologies and global systems in pharmaceutical production to become a regional hub that attracts major international companies in the field of pharmaceutical and vaccine industries.
